Brian\u2019s artistic journey began long before he picked up a tattoo machine. As a child, his fascination with drawing and creating laid the foundation for his future career. “I\u2019ve been an artist for as long as I can remember,” he recalls. His passion eventually led him to art school, where he developed his skills further.<\/p>\n

At a young age, Brian was introduced to the world of tattooing, which opened the door to a whole new medium. Under the guidance of a family friend, Lurch, he learned the traditional Sailor Jerry techniques\u2014making needles, soldering, and mastering meticulous cleaning processes. These formative years were critical in shaping his respect for the art form.<\/p>\n

Challenges of the Early Days\n

Becoming a tattoo artist in the late 1990s and early 2000s was no easy feat. Supplies were scarce, and tattooing wasn\u2019t as accessible or mainstream as it is today. \u201cEverything had to be learned the old-school way,\u201d Brian explains. \u201cYour art really had to stand out.\u201d\u00a0Despite the challenges, Brian found that tattooing came naturally to him. His early work earned him a reputation for precise line work, and over time, he expanded his expertise to include realism and intricate detailing.<\/p>\n

Today, Brian\u2019s tattooing style is best described as versatile, with a strong focus on realism\u2014particularly animal portraits. He thrives on creative freedom and enjoys collaborating with clients to bring their visions to life. \u201cMost clients come to me with ideas and give me free range,\u201d Brian says. \u201cI use their inspiration and my creativity to design a custom piece they\u2019ll love forever.\u201d\u00a0Brian\u2019s ability to balance his artistic instincts with his clients\u2019 desires has set him apart in the industry. His favorite projects are those that push his creativity and allow him to explore new techniques.<\/p>\n
