\u201cIk wist altijd al dat ik zwaar getatoe\u00eberd wilde zijn, maar modellenwerk was niet iets wat ik overwoog tot een paar jaar geleden,\u201d vertelt Jessica. \u201cAls ik van plan was geweest om model te worden voordat ik begon met het zetten van mijn inkt, denk ik dat het een enorme invloed zou hebben gehad op het soort tatoeages dat ik heb, want ik houd me niet aan dezelfde stijlen en ik heb verschillende stukken van meerdere artiesten.\u201d\u00a0Ondanks dat Jessica tot nu toe maar aan een paar professionele shoots heeft meegedaan, geniet ze van het proces. \u201cAls je op je oude dag nog eens naar coole foto's van jezelf kunt terugkijken, dan is dat best gaaf, dus als er meer mogelijkheden komen, dan sta ik er zeker voor open om die te verkennen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

Met betrekking tot de veranderende perceptie van tatoeages in verschillende sectoren merkt Jessica op: \u201cHet stigma van tatoeages\/lichaamsaanpassingen is niet meer zo wijdverbreid als vroeger\u201d. Ze ziet een verschuiving naar meer acceptatie op het werk, waardoor mensen hun individuele stijl kunnen uitdrukken.\u00a0Wat betreft het combineren van haar priv\u00e9leven met een potenti\u00eble modellencarri\u00e8re, merkt Jessica op: \u201cIk heb geen carri\u00e8re als ge\u00efnkt model... let op!\u201d. Ze jongleert met een schoonmaakbedrijf, een studie Creatief Schrijven en verschillende bijbaantjes, maar ze geeft toe dat tijdgebrek haar ervan heeft weerhouden om dieper in de modellenwereld te duiken.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jessica vertelt over gevallen van discriminatie, zoals een onbeleefde opmerking van een oudere man en een recente weigering van toegang tot een bar op basis van haar tatoeages. Terwijl ze de eerste met gratie afhandelde, liet de tweede haar minder kalm achter.
