While art was always present in Mario\u2019s life, it took a few years to land in tattooing. At 19, he discovered airbrushing<\/strong>, which helped him refine his technique and hand control \u2014 essential skills for his future craft. Around the same time, a cousin who was already tattooing introduced him more closely to that world.<\/p>

The turning point came with a visit to the legendary Scorpions Tattoo studio<\/strong> in S\u00e3o Paulo, where Mario bought his first tattoo machine. Mario\u2019s early tattooing days weren\u2019t always easy. \u201cI actually didn\u2019t enjoy doing linework at first \u2014 I just wanted to get to the shading,\u201d he recalls. But that changed when he saw artist Mauro Nunes tattooing an intricate mandala. \u201cI realized I didn\u2019t like lines because I didn\u2019t know how to do them properly.\u201d Since then, linework has become one of his greatest strengths.<\/p>
